BAKERSFIELD, CA – State Senator Shannon Grove, Republican candidate for the California State Board of Equalization, announced today that she has received the endorsement of current Board of Equalization Member Ted Gaines.
Gaines, a longtime taxpayer advocate and fiscal watchdog, praised Grove’s conservative record and commitment to standing up for taxpayers, small businesses, and families across California.
“Shannon Grove has a proven record of fighting for taxpayers and holding government accountable,” said Gaines. “We need leaders on the Board of Equalization who understand how high taxes and excessive regulations hurt families and job creators. Shannon will bring common sense, integrity, and real-world experience to the Board, and I’m proud to endorse her.”
Grove, a former small business owner and U.S. Army veteran, currently represents California’s 12th Senate District and has built a strong reputation for championing conservative values, fiscal responsibility, and public safety. As a member of the Senate, Grove has stood with law enforcement, defended Proposition 13, and worked to protect vital industries like agriculture and energy.
“I’m honored to have the support of Ted Gaines, a leader who has consistently fought for fiscal sanity in California,” said Grove. “As a BOE Member, I’ll continue that fight — working to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in California’s tax system.”
